Murder Mystery - Past Simple and Past Continuous

The objective of this game is to solve the mystery of the murder by uncovering three key pieces of information: the victim, the location of the crime, and the method of killing. Students will have to gather clues by correctly completing sentences that involve Past Simple and Past Continuous.

Instructions:

1. Divide the class into small groups.
2. Provide each group with a set of sentence completion cards.
3. The groups will have to discuss and complete each sentence with the appropriate verb tense.
4. Once a group completes a sentence correctly, they will receive a clue related to the mystery.
5. They will have to use the clues to deduce the victim, location, and method of the murder.
6. The first group to solve the mystery wins!
